Shift: Monday–Friday 3:30 PM – 1:30 AM, Saturday 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Wage: $32.70 – $34.00/hr + Weekly Incentives
About the Role:
Our client is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the team in Plymouth, Michigan. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this is an excellent opportunity for experienced maintenance professionals with strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. As a Maintenance Technician, you will maintain, repair, and optimize production and assembly equipment to support manufacturing operations and ensure equipment reliability.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Become fluent with all existing equipment, diagnose issues, and complete most repairs independently.
- Diagnose and repair various manufacturing and assembly equipment.
- Fabricate, weld, and torch as required.
- Rebuild tools, gearboxes, and spindles.
- Read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical diagrams.
- Read and interpret measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
- Work with PLC functions (no programming) and perform advanced electrical troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve quality issues, train other maintenance technicians, and contribute to continuous improvement projects.
- Comply with OSHA Safety Standards, including Hazard Communication, Lockout, Permit-Required Powered Industrial Trucks, PPE, and Ergonomics.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Must pass drug test and background check.
- 5 years of industrial maintenance experience (no training provided; “green” candidates not preferred).
- Mechanical and electrical maintenance experience.
- Welding experience: MIG & Stick (experience in both is an asset).
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical diagrams.
- Fluent with PLC functions – troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley preferred, Siemens considered).
- Own tools and toolbox.
