We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team!
The ideal candidate will have solid unit turn experience and a strong foundation in all aspects of general apartment maintenance. This role plays a key part in maintaining the physical condition of the property, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, families, and staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete all assigned work orders in a timely and professional manner
- Assist with move-in/move-out processes; prepare and repair units for new residents
- Light plumbing: repair and installation of faucets, toilets, garbage disposals, etc.
- Light electrical: troubleshooting and basic repairs
- Light HVAC troubleshooting and thermostat installation
- Install and repair door locks, deadbolts, and hardware
- Perform door removal and reinstallation
- Repair appliances and perform basic maintenance
- Re-screen or replace window screens
- Paint units and perform wall texturing, drywall repairs, and wallpapering
- Install dishwashers
- Maintain clean and sanitary conditions in maintenance areas and workspaces
- Ensure the property maintains high aesthetic appeal and safety standards
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Degree or certificate from a two-year technical school program preferred
- Proven success in a similar maintenance or facilities role
- General knowledge of apartment maintenance procedures and standards
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Basic math skills and the ability to use standard tools and equipment
- Valid Driver’s License required
- First Aid Certification may be required
Wage:
- Based on skill and experience level
Work Schedule:
- Monday- Friday
- 8:30 am- 5:00 pm
- On-call/ Must be available for after hours and emergencies
