Manager – Commercial Strategy & Enablement

The Manager of Commercial Strategy & Enablement will lead end-to-end process mapping and manage transformation projects to enhance operational efficiency across Metronet’s commercial sales, technical support, and other customer-facing functions. This role identifies bottlenecks, streamlines tools and systems, and executes strategic and tactical initiatives that drive sustainable growth.

The successful candidate combines operational expertise, analytical thinking, and project management strength with confident facilitation and collaborative leadership. In addition to process improvement, this role leverages data analytics to support strategic decision-making and continuous business improvement.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Conduct end-to-end assessments of commercial business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Design and maintain visual process maps (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart or equivalent).
  • Identify and eliminate inefficiencies and technology gaps through root cause analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Lead high-impact process improvement and transformation initiatives aligned with strategic commercial goals, leveraging data science and data analytic skills.
  • Manage project portfolios and timelines using Agile, PMP, or Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Partner with IT, Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Operations and other relevant organizations to implement system enhancements and workflow improvement.
  • Define and track KPIs to measure transformation effectiveness and business impact.
  • Lead cross-functional workshops with subject matter experts, stakeholder interviews, and fact-finding session to ensure full requirements gathering and alignment.
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and process accountability.
  • Develop and maintain a knowledge base of mapped workflows, SOPs, and transformation roadmaps.
  • Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that impact business operations.
  • Work with stakeholders to interpret findings and drive data-informed decisions.
  • Build dashboards and reports using data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Utilize statistical methods and predictive modeling to forecast business outcomes and support strategic planning.
  • Other job-related duties as requested

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years of experience in process optimization, operations, or transformation project management.
  • Strong expertise in process mapping, documentation, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience with process and project tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, MS Project, Rally, Smartsheet or equivalent).
  • Project management certification (PMP, Agile, Lean Six Sigma or equivalent) preferred.
  • Ability to translate business needs into actionable process improvements plans and ensure accountability
  • Willingness to work as a team and independently.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; data-driven mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong facilitation skills to drive meetings, workshops, and project status discussions effectively.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills at all levels of the organization.
  • Deep understanding with telecom operations (e.g., sales enablement, service delivery) preferred; experience in other industries welcomed.
  • Proven ability to scale and implement operational processes.
  • Experience in complex, matrixed organizations undergoing growth.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment requiring adaptability and collaboration.
  • Moderate proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and analysis preferred.
  • Available to travel for training or as needed.
