Job Summary: The Kansas City Chiefs are seeking a forward-thinking, highly collaborative Creators & Culture Marketing Director to lead our efforts in talent and influencer marketing, lifestyle campaigns, and community-driven cultural initiatives. This role will be at the forefront of expanding the Chiefs’ reach into new arenas, building deeper connections with fans, and ensuring our brand resonates authentically across diverse audiences.
We’re looking for a strategic leader and creative storyteller who can own relationships, drive big ideas, and deliver best-in-class programs — from partnering with top talent and influencers, to launching culture-shaping lifestyle campaigns, to celebrating the vibrant communities that make up the Kingdom. This person can both think and do — bringing strategic vision while rolling up their sleeves to create, execute, and adapt without over-reliance on agencies. This position manages a team of one full-time Sr. Manager and one Seasonal Associate and works closely with cross-functional partners in Brand, Content, Social, Partnerships, and Community Outreach.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Creators: Talent & Influencer Marketing
- Own the Chiefs’ influencer marketing channel — from strategy and planning to execution and measurement.
- Build and maintain relationships with talent and influencers, from micro-creators to high-profile names.
- Develop programs and activations tailored to each partner’s unique strengths and audience.
- Oversee the creation of collaborative campaigns that align with the Chiefs’ values and strategic priorities.
- Track performance metrics, analyze results, and optimize future strategies to maximize impact.
- Lead lifestyle marketing initiatives that extend the Chiefs brand into football-adjacent spaces such as music, fashion, and gaming.
- Identify and capitalize on cultural trends and moments that can deepen loyalty and attract new fans.
- Partner with internal teams and external collaborators to bring culturally relevant, high-impact campaigns to life.
- Position the Chiefs as a brand with influence and credibility beyond the game.
- Develop and execute campaigns that celebrate the diversity of the Chiefs fanbase and make every fan feel at home “in the Kingdom.”
- Concept and deliver activations tied to cultural heritage moments and key community touchpoints.
- Collaborate with the Community Outreach team to amplify their programs through creative marketing strategies.
- Ensure inclusivity and representation are embedded in all fan-facing cultural initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate creators, lifestyle, and community initiatives into annual marketing plans.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and fan insights to adapt strategies in real time.
- Develop clear KPIs and reporting processes to measure ROI and long-term brand impact.
- Manage, mentor, and inspire a team of one Sr. Manager and one Seasonal Associate.
- Set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and support professional growth.
- Foster a collaborative, innovative, and accountable team culture.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
- 7+ years of marketing experience, with a focus on influencer/talent marketing, cultural branding, and/or community engagement.
- Proven success building and managing relationships with talent, influencers, and cultural partners.
- Experience leading campaigns in sports, entertainment, music, fashion, gaming, or other lifestyle sectors.
- Strong understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles and their role in brand marketing.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategy, lead creative campaigns, execute directly using in-house resources, and measure results — without sole reliance on agency support.
