Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Martial Arts Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in either Karate or Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and a desire to teach and inspire students of all ages and skill levels. The instructor will be responsible for delivering high-quality martial arts training, fostering a positive environment, and promoting the values of discipline, respect, and perseverance.
What We’re Looking For:
- Purple or Higher Belt in Karate or Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
- Strong communication and teaching skills
- A positive attitude and a passion for helping students grow
- Ability to work with all age groups and skill levels
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans for classes, ensuring they are engaging and age-appropriate.
- Teach martial arts techniques, self-defense skills, and fitness concepts in a safe and effective manner.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them achieve their goals.
- Create a supportive and motivating class environment that encourages participation and growth.
- Maintain a safe and organized training space, ensuring all equipment is in good condition.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development.
- Assist in organizing and promoting events, such as belt promotions and tournaments.
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, and the community.
Qualifications:
- Comfortable working with children and fostering a positive learning environment.
- Experience in Karate or Brazilian Jiu Jitsu required.
- Teaching or coaching experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students.
- First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to demonstrate techniques and participate in physical activities.
- Must be in good physical condition to lead classes effectively.
- Ability to lift and assist children as needed during training.
- Capability to keep up with the energy and pace of children during classes.
