Job Summary
The Master Scheduler position is responsible for coordinating all activities specifically related to the supply plan. Create and maintain supply plans for Zeus manufacturing plants. Work with sales and our customer care team to communicate constraints and past due information and timing. Assist Global Supply Planning Manager in making informed decisions on capital expenditure and expansion plans based on mid- and long-term capacity planning. Assign booked orders to the appropriate manufacturing facility, using multiple considerations including, but not limited to, customer agreements, plant capability, quality policy, and plant utilization.
- Ensure compliance with operating procedures as defined in position work instructions.
- Ensure customer fulfillment goals are achieved on a consistent basis.
- Manage specific Supply Planning KPI’s necessary to clearly identify functional performance and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop, maintain, and communicate master production schedule at their identified locations.
- Perform capacity planning analysis for multiple time horizons as part of a supply planning function monthly and on an as needed basis.
- Communicates supply plan and inventory estimations to management.
- Review historical resource capability and prepare supply planning data to share at multiple levels of the organization.
- Monitor late list and performance to request date ensuring an accurate reflection of customer service including standard, Kanban, SKU, and Dev orders.
- Performs scenario planning based on process improvement, changing demand, and contingency planning.
- Reroute jobs where capacity constraints have been identified.
- Additional assigned duties as needed by the Manager of Global Supply Planning.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field. MBA preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in supply chain roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent planning skills and computer skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to work well with all levels of management and staff.
- Prior supervisory/team leadership experience preferred.
- Oracle experience preferred.
- APICS-CPIM certification is preferred.
- Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management systems.
- Knowledgeable of forecasting and budgeting.
- A sense of high urgency required.
- Customer service oriented.
- Exhibits knowledge of analytical thinking, problem solving, and execution of actions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Must be in proximity to Zeus manufacturing location (South Carolina or Branchburg, NJ)
