tamford Health has an opening for a full-time Receptionist/Scheduler in Norwalk, CT! The Receptionist/Scheduler will work Monday - Friday (40 hours a week). Monday & Tuesday 8am-5pm, Wednesday 8:30am-6pm, Thursday 8am-4pm, Friday 8am-3pm. T
he Receptionist/Scheduler will provide the full scope of reception and administrative office support services to the practice. R
esponsibilities: G
- reets and directs visitors/patients courteously and professionally. O
- btains, verifies and/or updates patient demographic information. C
- ollects co-pay and copy of the patient’s insurance identification card. A
- ssists with answering and screening calls and the triaging process of all incoming telephone calls for urgent information or services. Schedules appointments and records and forwards messages as required. R
- esponds to requests for routine information or assistance within scope of knowledge and authority and refers visitors to appropriate staff members as necessary. M
- aintains strong current knowledge of policies and operating procedures. I
- nitiates calls as requested by Physician, Office Manager or other professional staff. R
- esponsible for opening/closing office duties as needed. P
- hotocopying, faxing, and distributing documents as required and in a timely manner. M
- aintains order of document processing area /supply closets, notifying Office Manager of the need to order supplies, ensuring all supplies are distributed upon receipt and kept in their designated areas. M
- aintain copy machines, ensuring all supplies are on hand; call for repair when required. R
- esponsible for the management of incoming and outgoing departmental mail; dating as required, sorting, distributing and generating responses as appropriate and in a timely manner. D
- emonstrates ongoing commitment to customer service excellence and supports the customer service plan.
- igh School Diploma or equivalent required with 1-3 years of related front office or customer service experience preferred. D
- emonstrated strong interpersonal, organizational skills. E
- ffective communication skills, both verbal and written English proficiency required C
