Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, providing essential support in a Level I Trauma Center. This role involves both administrative and clinical responsibilities, ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care in a hospital setting.
Duties
- Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and procedures in the Operating Room (OR) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
- Perform coding for medical billing and documentation purposes.
- Administer medications as prescribed by physicians, ensuring proper dosage and patient safety.
- Conduct X-Ray procedures as needed, following safety protocols.
- Deliver exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and providing information regarding treatments and procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the medical workspace to uphold health standards.
Skills
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and coding practices.
- Proficiency in providing patient service with a focus on empathy and communication.
- Experience working in a Level I Trauma Center or similar high-acuity environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform X-Ray procedures safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in both clinical and administrative tasks.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while managing multiple priorities.

Pay: $20.58 - $24.78 per hour
