Overview:
We are a fast paced growing Medical Equipment Business seeking a dedicated Intake Specialist / Customer Service Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient services and administrative tasks, with knowledge of medical office and insurance related procedures. Able to assist Retail Customers as well as manage insurance files for qualifying guidelines to dispense Durable Medical Equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in person or over the phone
- Collect and input patient information accurately into an industry specific electronic health records system.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently
- Verify insurance coverage and process necessary paperwork
- Handle medical records requests and maintain confidentiality
- Instruct patients on proper use and care of equipment
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient intake processes
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred
- Proficiency in using office software and phone systems and familiarity with electronic health records systems is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
