Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the front desk operations of our medical facility, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients and efficient administrative support for our medical staff. This role requires familiarity with medical terminology and electronic health record systems, as well as strong clerical skills.
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
- Schedule appointments using Allscripts Veridigm.
- Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Handle phone calls, including answering inquiries and directing calls to appropriate staff.
- Process insurance verifications and manage billing inquiries.
- Assist with filing and organizing patient documents, ensuring all information is up-to-date.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth office operations.
- Utilize software such as Allscripts Veridigm for patient management tasks.
Experience
- Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus.
- Proficiency in using computerized systems for scheduling and record management.
- Strong clerical skills, including attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
