Summary
As a Medical Receptionist, you will be essential in delivering outstanding patient service and administrative support within our ophthalmology practice. Reporting to the Office Manager, your role will involve managing patient records, handling data entry, and ensuring efficient front desk operations. Your core skills in medical office experience and clerical duties will be complemented by premium knowledge of EHR systems and HIPAA regulations. With a focus on customer service and phone etiquette, you will help create a welcoming environment for patients while supporting the overall efficiency of our healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients at the front desk, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Manage patient scheduling and appointments, including data entry and record maintenance.
- Handle incoming calls with professionalism, providing information and addressing inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while managing sensitive medical records.
- Support medical staff with administrative tasks, including filing and documentation.
- Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers, enhancing overall patient service.
