We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills. The individual will work in a cooperative, friendly and results oriented manner with all members of the practice.
In this role, you will manage our phones and other administrative tasks associated with assisting our patients and other visitors. Your primary job duties will include answering questions, scheduling appointments, and processing paperwork. You will also help keep our records and office clean and organized, as well as ensure our office provides a welcoming environment for our patients from their first phone call to their last appointment.
Duties include:
Greets and accurately register/schedule patient appointments
Maintains the high volume multi-line telephone system and delivers/redirects all messages and calls to the appropriate staff member.
Use sound judgement in handling calls, especially when dealing with highly sensitive medical information.
Verify/Update patient demographics, including insurance eligibility.
Perform all scanning, faxing, mailing,
Maintain office supply inventory
Complete medical record, referral and pre authorization requests.
Collect financial payments.
Check patients out and schedule next appointments.
Obtain external medical reports as requested
Ensure the reception area and work station is maintained and organized.
Ability to multi-task and maintain confidentiality.
Complete all tasks efficiently and correctly daily.
Performs other duties as assigned
