Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the front office operations, ensuring a smooth patient experience from scheduling appointments to handling documentation. This role prefers proficiency in medical office software and a strong understanding of medical scheduling and documentation review processes.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in procedures.
- Manage appointment scheduling using eClinicalWorks Systems.
- Review and maintain accurate patient documentation and records.
- Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries and directing calls as necessary.
- Ensure efficient operation of the front office, including managing patient flow and maintaining a clean environment.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless communication regarding patient needs.
- Utilize computerized systems for patient management and record keeping.
- Assist with insurance verification, referrals and other administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Prefer previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role within a medical office setting.
- Proficiency in medical scheduling software such as eClinicalWorks is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and office procedures is an asset.
- Must be able to type efficiently and accurately for data entry tasks.
