OpenAI’s mission is to build safe artificial general intelligence (AGI) which benefits all of humanity. This long-term undertaking brings the world’s best scientists, engineers, and business professionals into one lab together to accomplish this.
In pursuit of this mission, our Go To Market (GTM) team is responsible for helping customers learn how to leverage and deploy our highly capable AI products across their business. The team is made of Sales, Solutions, Support, Marketing, and Partnership professionals that work together to create valuable solutions that will help bring AI to as many users as possible.
About the Role
We’re looking for a versatile and entrepreneurial operator. In this role, you’ll drive high-leverage projects across product rigor, customer deployment, and ecosystem development. You’ll act as an extension of the leadership team—bringing structure, metrics, and strategic clarity to accelerate Tailor’s mission of building the world’s leading enterprise software platform.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of product, strategy, and operations, and is excited to help shape the early trajectory of a transformative business.
This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.
In this role, you will:
Define and track top-line product performance metrics (usage, time saved, error rates, adoption).
Partner with product leadership to analyze and shape product decisions (e.g., task assignment, agent self-improvement, orchestrator workflows).
Work hands-on with early customers to identify key use cases and friction points.
Build out “hero” workflows that inform product roadmap and internal “OpenAI on OpenAI” deployments.
Develop tools and frameworks for internal and customer-facing agent evaluation.
Establish performance benchmarks to support engineering iteration and customer confidence (e.g., model swap testing).
You might thrive in this role if you:
Have proven experience in product management, strategy, operations, or forward-deployed roles (startup or enterprise software preferred).
Have strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex insights into product and business decisions.
Have exceptional communication skills—able to craft compelling updates for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Have hands-on orientation and “builder mentality,” comfortable with ambiguity and zero-to-one problem solving.
Familiarity with enterprise software, developer platforms, or AI-driven products is a plus.
Experience working directly with customers to surface insights and shape product direction.
