Job Summary
Kraken Kourts and Skates is D.C.’s premier indoor pickleball and family fun center. We are seeking a Membership Manager to lead the growth and retention of our membership program. This role is vital to building lasting relationships with our community, enhancing guest experiences, and driving sales through creative outreach and strong account management. The ideal candidate brings a background in customer engagement, sales strategy, and team collaboration—ideally within hospitality, recreation, or wellness sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to grow our membership base and improve retention.
- Cultivate strong relationships with members to ensure satisfaction, encourage renewals, and generate referrals.
- Lead community outreach and B2B networking to identify new members and partnerships.
- Promote upsells and add-on services (e.g., lessons, camps, events) to enhance the member experience.
- Use digital tools and CRM systems to track member engagement and streamline communication.
- Analyze member trends and feedback to inform service enhancements.
- Collaborate with the marketing and events teams to align membership campaigns with venue offerings.
- Conduct internal training to ensure front-line teams understand membership benefits and sales techniques.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in account or membership management, preferably in a recreational or hospitality setting.
- Strong background in sales, lead generation, and customer retention strategies.
- Tech-savvy, with the ability to adopt and train on software platforms that support membership growth.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to analyze and act on data to improve performance.
- Highly organized, with an eye for detail and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
