Job Requirements:
Desired experience:
- At least 8 years of experience conducting analysis relevant to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
- Provides strategic engagement expertise to CDRUSSPACECOM and other senior leadership on critical leader engagements (KLEs) and security cooperation activities (5-10 per month).
- Support includes developing international engagement books with background information, key talking points, and releasable command information documents in accordance with established government standards and the Foreign Disclosure Officer within five business days of the engagement.
- Products delivered to the Government will be high quality and thoroughly researched during the prescribed timeline.
- All products will be provided to the Government in accordance with the timetable set by the lead government agent.
- Provides daily research, point papers, responses to RFIs, PowerPoint and Excel documents, and informational briefings supporting the development, coordination, and implementation of the USSPACECOM international engagement strategy and associated activities to include synchronization with other combatant commands and inter-agency entities.
- Performs analyses of Government and international policy and U.S. space-related capabilities and develop supporting products (e.g., position papers, talking points, informational PowerPoint slide decks, and engagement strategy input) for engagement/outreach and cooperation with civil, commercial, academic, and commercial entities for the integration of USSPACECOM interests and activities regarding policy, planning, strategy, research, and development (approximately 5-8 documents per month).
- Previous strategic messaging or information operations training and experience working with information-related capabilities in support of strategic communications plans is required.
- Joint professional military education II and advanced studies group (e.g., School of Advanced Air and Space Science, School of Advanced Military Studies, School of Advanced Warfighting) or equivalent credentials are highly desired.
- Provides support to the development, execution, and assessment of strategic messaging and information operations activities that support campaign objectives.
- Provides continuous support in researching, analyzing, and linking updates to national and military strategic guidance, as well as developments in the geopolitical and information environments, to CCMD-level strategies, plans, and policies.
- Provides support to the Command's collaboration in the joint staff strategic opportunity initiatives, cross-CCMD warfighters talks, CCMD adversary strategic initiatives, and cross-CCMD integration about strategic messaging and information operations.
- Possesses knowledge of Unified Command Plan, Combatant Command Relationships, USSPACECOM command relationships, and requisite joint operating concepts and policies, Joint Strategic Planning System (JSPS) processes, and strategic guidance hierarchies, purposes, and overarching considerations to include Joint Publication 5-0, Joint Planning.
- Communicates effectively in oral and written correspondence with all levels of Government and to interact with senior officials and general and flag officers formally and informally; ability to critically think, challenge assumptions, and work on ill-defined problem sets across a disparate group of stakeholders
- Possesses skills in Microsoft PowerPoint presentation, Microsoft Excel worksheet, Microsoft Outlook communication software, and the development of briefings, including effective written communications via email and NEWSGROUPS postings to a worldwide audience.
- Possesses comprehensive knowledge of USSPACECOM program goals and objectives, the sequence and timing of key operational events and milestones (internal to both USSPACECOM and DOD), and methods of evaluating the effectiveness of planning actions as related to actual events.
- Possesses ability to prepare and deliver clear and concise.
Desired education:
- Bachelor’s degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
- An additional 4 years of experience in the specific labor category, for a total of 12 years of experience in the specific labor category, may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Security Clearance:
- Security clearance required TS/SCI with a CI POLY or the ability to obtain one
