As our church continues to grow, we're excited to hire a full-time Family Director to lead the next generation at our Nashville West campus. This role will own leadership of our Kids Ministry (birth–5th grade) and provide oversight and strategic direction for our Student Ministry (6th–12th grade). We're looking for a passionate leader who loves partnering with families, equipping volunteers, and creating environments where kids and students can grow in faith and community.

The Family Director is responsible for the development and implementation of the vision, strategy, and tactical elements for all programs, activities, and educational aspects related to the Next Gen Ministry at the Rolling Hills Community Church, Nashville West Campus.

EXPECTATIONS

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee all programming and ministry for kids and students from birth to twelfth grade at the Nashville West regional campus.
- Ensure that appropriate safety and security procedures are established and followed, including volunteer applications and interviews, criminal background checks on all volunteers, and regular training on abuse awareness, hygiene practices, and safety and security practices.
- Operate within the approved Nashville West Next Gen budget[s].
- Recruit, train, schedule, and lead Next Gen Core Team to plan and implement ministry programming through Planning Center Online.
- Prepare curriculum for programming in keeping with the Rolling Hills Family Ministry Strategy and curriculum licensing.
- Strategize creative ways and ongoing systems for the Nashville West Campus to intentionally reach unchurched kids, students and families in the surrounding neighborhoods and greater West Nashville area.
- Attend and participate in regular Next Gen Team and Nashville West Campus team meetings.
- Implement mile marker strategy for kids and families to experience Family Dedication and Baptism and Belief classes at the Nashville West Campus.
- Work with the Next Gen Team in planning and implementing community outreach events, including but not limited to VBS and other seasonal outreach opportunities.
- Involve kids, students and their families in local and national mission’s projects.
- Work within the framework of the RH Communication Team to promote all campus-specific events, maintain regular campus-communication outlets, and update the Nashville West Campus web page and social media outlets.
- Attend and participate in monthly all-staff meetings.
- Plan and implement weekly student ministry midweek programming, including teaching, coordinating worship, and working with volunteers to create games, activities, and small group environments for students.
- Cast vision, and work with other staff and volunteer leaders, to engage high school students in serving in various Sunday morning ministry environments.
- Support and connect with parents in their own spiritual growth and in their role as spiritual leaders for their children.
- Minister to kids and students by caring for them personally and spiritually, providing methods of tangible encouragement and connection.
- Maintain a consistent plan of communication with parents of students.
- Maintain a consistent follow-up plan with both first-time guests and also those who have missed for three or more weeks.
