Position: Family Nurse Practitioner
Expanding practice seeking to add an experienced and competent Nurse Practitioner to our growing healthcare team! The Nurse Practitioner provides patient care, conducts physical exams, completes health history summary, documents patient's progress and assists with patient care management.
The environment is fast-paced and the position is multifaceted with NO “on-call” requirements.
Office Hours: Monday thru Thursday/Friday 8a-4pm
Essential Job Functions
▪ Obtains and reviews patient's medical and psychosocial history information relevant to patient care
▪ Conducts physical examinations according to Cavery Health Clinic® Guidelines
▪ Orders and reviews laboratory studies as well as diagnostic procedures; including ECGs. Repeat testing is to be conducted and managed according to the clinic Standard Operating Procedures and as needed and deemed necessary by the practitioner and director.
▪ Assumes responsibility for prescribing and dispensing FDA approved medications according to state and federal guidelines.
▪ Assumes responsibility for the maintenance and accuracy of medication inventory, logs, and reconciliation procedures. This responsibility is considered collaborative with the clinic director.
▪ Reviews patient's progress and manages patient care accordingly
▪ Maintains all required documentation for patient care and medication management
▪ Facilitates referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities as necessary and will communicate with collaborating physician and/ or specialist regarding patient's care
Non-essential Job Functions
▪ Provides training to clinical and non-clinical staff as needed
▪ Participates in refresher training as requested by management. Refresher training may be by means of CMEs, seminars and eLearning.
▪ Documents patient progress notes and treatment plans in the Electronic Medical Record, EMR. (eCW)
▪ Performs other clinical duties as required and needed to complete daily responsibilities and provide patient care
▪ Conducts follow up calls to patients to discuss the patient's progress and address any concerns
▪ Provides ongoing support to promote clinic profitability and success

DEA License

▪ Must be able to multi-task, apply critical thinking skills, and provide highest level of customer service at all levels of the operation
▪ Interpersonal / human relations skills
▪ Must demonstrate excellent communication skills both oral and written
▪ Ability to maintain confidentiality
▪ Ability to work as part of the clinic team
Preferences
▪ Bilingual in English and Spanish
▪ Knowledge of Holistic Medicine
Job Types: Part-time with potential for Full-time based on Provider's patient growth
Pay: From $60.00 per hour based on experience
