Job Title: Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
Location: Albuquerque, Westside , Edgewood and Cedar Crest
Reports to: Medical Director Status: Full-Time, Exempt
The physician assistant or nurse practitioner will be expected to diagnose and treat health conditions, as well as promote good health practices. As an advanced practice practitioner, you’ll be our go-to person for ensuring the best patient care possible. You’ll be both a health practitioner and an educator, supporting disease prevention practices and helping people lead healthy lives. In this role, you’ll have to work closely with other healthcare professionals, so you should have a team spirit and a positive attitude. Patience, problem-solving skills and communication ability are important. Job Responsibilities:
- Examine patients and their medical records
- Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays etc.)
- Diagnose health conditions and illnesses
- Propose treatments for chronic and infectious diseases
- Prescribe medications
- Maintain accurate records and schedules
- Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications
- Educate patients and their family members on diseases, epidemics and prevention
- Oversee patients’ overall health
- Promote good health practices
- Advance professional knowledge and conduct research
- Other duties as assigned
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Certified Nurse Practitioner or PA (Required)
- Proven experience as Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in a clinic, hospital, ER or other setting
- Expertise in primary care, acute care and chronic care practices
- Must possess a Medical License through the State of New Mexico
- CPR Certification for Healthcare/BLS Providers or Professional Rescue
- DEA license
- Ability to obtain malpractice insurance
- Master’s degree; PhD is a plus
Physical Demands Requirements:

- Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work

Pay: $10,000.00 - $11,000.00 per month
