Indiana University Health Southern Indiana Physicians are seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our busy Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Practice in Bloomington, IN.
Position Details:
- 40 hours/week
- 10-4-hour shifts Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday (schedule may vary)
- Call is not required. However, there may be an opportunity to cross train for Orthopedic inpatient coverage, if desired.
- 100% Outpatient
Job Description:
- Perform independently in hand clinic to support current physicians and practice.
- Provider will see new, established and post operative patients.
- Will occasionally help in the Orthopedic Injury clinic during regular hours.
Qualifications:
- FNP or PA
- Minimum clinic experience of 2-3 years
- New grad may be considered with strong interest in Orthopedics
- Orthopedic experience/exposure to hand pathology and treatment
- General Orthopedic knowledge for treatment of fractures/acute injuries.
- Candidate must be a team player with a positive attitude, willingness to put in the effort to learn the hand/ortho specialty during work hours and outside of work

Healthcare System/Hospital Description
The new IU Health Bloomington Hospital and Regional Academic Health Center opened in December 2021. The facility offers a personalized approach to inpatient services (including intensive care, complex surgeries and comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology services), outpatient services with leading-edge diagnostic testing, flexible space in the emergency department for post-care observation, a dedicated trauma center and a cancer infusion center.
At the same time, the facility strengthens healthcare education by providing space for collaboration and coordination of care and teaching. Students and trainees frequently come to the hospital side of the facility for clinical experiences.
