Experience with pediatrics preferred- includes fieldwork placements. New grads are welcome to apply. Immediate cases needing to be filled for in home visits throughout Broward County- you choose your area of travel.
This is an independent contractor position. Therapists are expected to provide their own therapy equipment and tools. Treatment sessions take place in patient homes, private schools, and aftercare programs. Therapists with Dedicated Pediatric Therapy are dedicated to their client's success and stick with them for the long haul.
As the Occupational Therapy Department Lead, you will supervise and manage the OTs and COTAs within our company, conduct evaluations for the COTAs you supervise, and provide mentorship to newly hired therapists and new grads. Our OT Department Lead also oversees POC expiration dates, assists with interviewing new candidates, and helps to provide training sessions.
Payscale ranges from $52-$57 per hour for direct treatment, and $75 per hour for all leadership role time. Dedicated Pediatric Therapy reinforces evidenced based practice as best practice. Each of our occupational therapists are provided access to relevant research articles by OT Potential and a CEU stipend after 6 months of continuous employment.
Duties:
- Occupational therapy treatment sessions (typically 1 hour)
- Daily treatment notes documenting content of sessions and progress toward established goals
- Manage your own schedule according to client needs
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to work on relevant and meaningful goals for the patient
- Turn in notes on a monthly basis via paper copy or through email.
Requirements:
- Current Florida Occupational Therapist license
- NPI number, Medicaid Provider ID
- Professional liability insurance
- CPR certification
- Driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Therapy equipment
- Flexible schedule
- Great organizational skills
- Fluent in English
