GSS Lake Forest Home Care is a reputable and nationally recognized healthcare provider, dedicated to providing exceptional home care services to the community. We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Data Entry Operator to join our team either on an On Site or Off Site basis.
As a Medical Data Entry Operator, you will be responsible for accurately entering and managing patient information into our electronic health records system. This role requires a strong ability to pay attention to detail, excellent data entry skills, and a deep understanding of medical coding and terminology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter and maintain patient information into the electronic health records system
- Review and verify the completeness and accuracy of all patient data
- Ensure all medical records are filed and organized properly
- Perform routine quality checks to identify and correct any errors or discrepancies
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in various departments to obtain and update patient information
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in medical data entry or a related field
- Strong knowledge of medical coding and terminology
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health records systems
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information
Working Conditions:
This role can be either an On Site or Off Site position with a work schedule of Monday-Friday (9:00am-5:00pm). The On Site position will be based at our GSS Lake Forest Home Care location, while the Off Site position allows for remote work.
