Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to oversee and enhance our operational processes. Our current manager is leaving due to health issues. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a strategic mindset to drive business development and process improvement initiatives. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing teams, ensuring efficient operations, and achieving organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Manage profit and loss statements, analyzing financial performance to identify areas for improvement. (full P&L responsibility)
- Lead, mentor, and supervise staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
- Drive business development efforts by identifying new opportunities for growth and expansion.
- Oversee project management initiatives, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.
- Implement process improvement strategies to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Oversee day-to-day grading operations for both commercial and residential projects
- Operate and supervise the use of dozers, excavators, rollers, and other grading equipment as needed
- Ensure safety, quality, and compliance standards are met on all jobsites
- Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members
Qualifications
- Proven experience in management with a focus on operations or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of management experience in construction or grading operations
- Strong background in grading/site work and ability to operate grading equipment
- Strong strategic planning skills with the ability to execute initiatives effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in supervising diverse teams.
- Knowledge of profit & loss management principles and financial analysis.
- Experience in business development strategies that drive growth.
- Proficient in project management methodologies with a track record of successful project delivery.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred )

Pay: $59,138.69 - $71,220.78 per year
