The Opportunity
We’re looking for a driven sales professional to become one of our two primary salespeople. Unlike many sales roles, you won’t be chasing cold leads: our marketing generates 4‑6 qualified appointments per day, and you’ll have priority access to nearly all of them. This is a hands‑on, commission‑heavy role in a nimble start‑up environment. What You’ll Do
Conduct up to six in‑person or virtual appointments per day, consulting with residential and commercial customers about their fencing needs.
Present material and design options (wood, vinyl, aluminum, chain‑link, etc.), explain our craftsmanship process and answer customer questions.
Prepare detailed estimates and proposals, negotiate pricing and guide prospects through contract signing.
Follow up with prospects to keep deals moving, manage your pipeline and close sales.
Coordinate with the installation team to ensure smooth hand‑offs and exceptional customer experiences.
Build long‑term relationships with homeowners, property managers and contractors to encourage repeat and referral business.
Provide feedback to company leadership on customer trends and process improvements as we scale.
What We’re Looking For
At least 2 years of experience selling fencing, outdoor building materials or related home‑improvement products.
Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding sales targets in a commission‑based environment.
Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
Comfort working in a fast‑paced, “scrappy” start‑up setting where processes are still evolving.
Self‑motivation and a team‑player mindset—you’ll be collaborating closely with our founder and installation crew.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer appointments around the Raleigh‑Durham area.
