Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. As a Daycare Teacher, you will play a crucial role in fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. You will be responsible for implementing age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the developmental needs of infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Monitor and assess children's progress in various developmental areas, providing feedback to parents as necessary.
- Maintain classroom management to ensure a safe and orderly environment for all children.
- Provide care for children including diapering, feeding, and ensuring their overall well-being.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop programs that support children with special needs or disabilities.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and daily activities.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of childhood development.
Skills
- Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Experience working with children in daycare settings or similar environments.
- Knowledge of childhood development milestones and behavior management techniques.
- First aid certification is preferred; training may be provided if necessary.
- Experience with special education or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively while promoting positive behavior among students.
- Strong communication skills to engage with children, parents, and colleagues effectively.
- Previous experience in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is beneficial.

Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour
