Morrison Center is seeking a Part-Time Community Support Professional for the Wells, Maine, Day Program. For the Community Support position you do not need to be certified upon hire but will need to be willing to complete certification.
Requirements of the Community Support Professional
- Valid Maine Drivers License
- Ability to pass background and driving record checks.
- Ability to get DSP Certificate, CRMA Class
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with a high level of professionalism
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Possibility to increase hours
Benefits for the job:
- Pay $21 an hour
- Hours: Tuesday - Thursday 8:30am - 2:30pm, 18 hours a week

Responsibilities of the Community Support Professional:
- Assisting with daily living activities: This could involve help with personal care, meal preparation, medication management, and transportation.
- Supporting social and emotional well-being: This might include providing companionship, emotional support, and helping individuals build social skills and relationships.
- Promoting independence and self-advocacy: CSPs empower individuals to make their own choices and advocate for their needs.
- Teaching life skills: This could involve helping individuals with budgeting, cooking, housekeeping, and other skills necessary for independent living.
