Description
Job Summary: Oversees the inventory management and distribution of parts needed for production processes. Responsibilities may include monitoring inventory levels, coordinating with buyers, ensuring timely delivery of parts, and maintaining accurate records. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth operations and preventing production delays due to parts shortages.
- Spot checking parts inventory (bins/floor)
- Verifying parts inventory counts in bins – if count does not match inventory re-count if count remains “off” report discrepancies
- Send email to Fab Shop for parts needed or if inventory (parts from Fab) is low
- Request /pick up parts from warehouse when needed
- Performing transfers in Epicor when receiving parts into production line inventory
- Change laser part counts when needed (change quantity – up number of parts for production line’s inventory)
- Must be able to pull drawings (on computer) if someone needs to review them
- Processing Kanban receipts
- Place parts on the pick list and hot list when needed
- Review production schedule and shortage reports to assure parts are on order with suppliers (Expedite if necessary)
- Practice 5s on the line
- Must be willing to take charge in the parts area to find out the reasons for being behind, (1 - a Kanban card not turned in 2 - a BOM issue 3- Too many parts on hand to drive the demand to create a job for parts)

- High School Diploma or GED
- inventory experience
- Cycle counting experience a plus
- Knowledge of warehouse/inventory software (Epicor a plus)
- Ability to process Kanban receipts
- 5s
- Computer knowledge (MS Office Suite)
