SUMMIT Appliance (www.summitappliance.com), a Division of Felix Storch, Inc. is a 56-year-old private business, located in the Bronx, NY and Edison, NJ. We are a manufacturer and distributor of major appliances, including vaccine, healthcare and life science refrigeration. We are adding staff in our Edison NJ, facility to handle our recent growth, and the anticipated growth from the largest product expansion in our history. We seek an individual to join our team.
Major Responsibilities:
- Working with other departments and customers to locate parts
- Input parts information into computer spreadsheets ? including current inventory counts, parts received, parts shipped, parts transferred, etc.
- Assist with parts receiving process ? logging and appropriately sorting parts
- Source parts from warehouse shelves as needed
- Assist with maintenance and upkeep of inventory
- Applying labels to boxes to be shipped to customers
- Transporting merchandise throughout the building
- Organizing products by model number following a warehouse layout
- Maintaining a well-organized and clean parts warehouse
- Other duties as assigned
Job requirements:
- Ability to read model numbers and instructions in English
- Ability to write and communicate via email
- ERP experience
- Experience with data entry, spreadsheets, Excel experience a plus
- 2 years prior experience in a warehouse or parts dept
- Ability to lift 40 pounds or more
- Ability to follow directions and work both independently and on a team
The anticipated hours for this position are 8am- 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.
Prior experience in a distribution warehouse is required. Prior experience with appliances or electronics parts is preferred.
Rate of pay: $17-19.00/ hour, commensurate with experience
