Major/Essential Functions

Must have excellent customer service skills, be friendly and have a high interest in caring for people.
Patient Arrival
Verify Insurance
Computer skills necessary to the job: typing, enter patient information in electronic medical records
Answer phones
Schedule provider appointments
Work independently and as a team member
All other duties as assigned by supervisor

Required Qualifications

A High School diploma or GED. 1-year Customer Service, office, or related experience. Additional education may substitute for the experience requirement.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience working in a medical practice.
Ability to type approximately 40 WPM.
Experience working in various computer programs; Microsoft Office, Excel, Electronic Medical Records Insurance programs
Ability to work on computer for long periods of time
Experience with phone, fax
Ability to intake information and type simultaneously
Ability to multi-task
Able to communicate using clear, concise messages.
Self motivated
Spanish speaking preferred by not required
