We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Pediatric-Orthodontic Clinical Team Lead to join our dynamic dental practice. This leadership role is essential for ensuring the highest standards of patient care and clinical excellence within our orthodontic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental assisting and clinical operations, with a passion for fostering a positive team environment and enhancing patient experiences.

We are a pediatric dental practice that specializes in airway-focused care, early expansion in children under 6-years-old, infant/toddler/child tongue ties, and oral function. The ideal candidate is:
- An RDA/OA with hands-on experience in a fast-paced clinical setting
- A quick learner who adapts easily to new protocols and technologies
- Fast-moving and efficient, with strong multi-tasking skills
- Detail-oriented while maintaining a warm, supportive attitude with patients and team members
- Reliable, proactive, and excited about pediatric care and airway health.
- Experience with iTero scanner, cementing orthodontic appliances, and using CurveHero dental software is desired however not required
Responsibilities
- Assist in specialized procedures including tongue tie releases on infants and children, as well as oral function assessments, orthodontic records and cementing/removing orthodontic expanders.
- Lead and supervise the orthodontic clinical team, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to best practices.
- Oversee and submit lab prescriptions for orthopedic appliances.
- Oversee patient care procedures, including the administration of X-rays and medical imaging, while maintaining aseptic techniques.
- Assist in the development and implementation of clinical protocols to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
- Train and mentor staff in dental assisting techniques, vital signs monitoring, and proper handling of medical records.
- Taking CBCT's on children 4 years and older.
- Collaborate with other dental professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Manage scheduling and coordination of patient appointments to optimize clinic operations.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain a safe working environment for both staff and patients.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is required, with a focus on orthodontics preferred.
- Proficiency in X-ray procedures and medical imaging techniques is essential.
- Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Experience as a dental receptionist or in general dentistry is a plus.
- Familiarity with vital signs monitoring and maintaining accurate medical records is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to lead a team effectively.
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development within the dental field.
