Summary of the Function/Role:
We are seeking a seasoned PeopleSoft Business Analyst and Functional Lead to support its Human Capital Management (HCM) initiatives. This remote consultant will play a pivotal role in implementing new PeopleSoft modules and enhancements, while also supporting production systems. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of PeopleSoft HCM 9.2+, a track record of full lifecycle implementations, and experience aligning system capabilities with evolving business needs.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead functional analysis, requirements gathering, and process improvement initiatives across HCM modules.
- Map and optimize business processes using PeopleSoft functionality (e.g., Position Management, ePerformance).
- Collaborate with IT, HR, and Performance Management teams on solution design and delivery.
- Design functional architectures and support integration between PeopleSoft and other systems (e.g., Kronos).
- Conduct system testing including SIT and end-to-end validation of enhancements.
- Write and optimize complex SQL scripts (DQL/DML) and PeopleSoft queries for advanced reporting.
- Create and manage project documentation, including functional specs, process flows, and test plans.
- Serve as a liaison with stakeholders to resolve system issues and ensure alignment with HR operations.
- Support reporting and self-service enhancements, working with technical teams on delivery.
- Assist project leadership with staffing, planning, and issue/risk management.

Qualifications & Experience:
- 10+ years of functional and technical experience with PeopleSoft HCM v9.2+
- Deep knowledge of multiple PeopleSoft modules including:
- Human Resources, Position Management, Compensation, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and Performance Management
- Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft self-service and query development
- Extensive SQL scripting skills (DML and DQL)
- Full lifecycle PeopleSoft implementation experience (design through deployment)
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft Test Framework (PTF) is a plus
- Strong understanding of relational database design and reporting
- Prior experience in state or public sector environments preferred

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $60.00 - $67.43 per hour
