We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience while adhering to strict laboratory protocols. Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood sampling on patients in a professional manner.
- Ensure proper identification of patients prior to blood collection.
- Maintain aseptic technique throughout the blood collection process to prevent contamination.
- Prepare samples for laboratory analysis and ensure accurate labeling.
- Document patient information and laboratory results accurately in clinical records.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs as needed during the procedure.
- Provide exceptional patient care by addressing concerns and ensuring comfort throughout the process.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes and streamline laboratory procedures.
Skills
- Proficient in venipuncture techniques and blood sampling methods.
- Strong understanding of laboratory procedures and clinical laboratory operations.
- Knowledge of physiology and medical terminology relevant to phlebotomy practices.
- Ability to perform vital signs assessments effectively.
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques to ensure safety during blood collection.
