Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Physical Therapy Aide who is bilingual (English/Spanish preferred) to join our team. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, tech-savvy, and passionate about helping patients. This position combines patient care support, front desk responsibilities, and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
Clinical Support:
- Assist therapists with patient setup for therapies (e.g., electrical stimulation, heat/cold packs)
- Escort patients and help ensure comfort and safety during sessions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas
- Perform laundry and restock treatment supplies
Administrative Duties:
- Greet and check in patients, answer phones, and handle scheduling
- Verify insurance benefits, submit precertifications, and track authorized visits
- Assist with appeals and communicate with insurance companies
- Maintain accurate records: scan, fax, copy, and organize documentation
- Track inventory (gloves, gels, paper supplies, etc.)
Team Responsibilities:
- Cross-trained to support both front desk and therapy staff
- Follow up with no-shows and cancellations
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to team statistics
- Communicate clearly with patients, providers, and the office team
Qualifications
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable
- Tech proficient: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Google Docs/Sheets
- Comfortable reading complex documents (insurance verifications, appeals)
- Experience with EHR software a plus (but not required)
- Positive, upbeat attitude and strong work ethic

Compensation
- Hourly Rate: $18.00–$22.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
