Inova Schar Cancer Institute is looking for a dedicated Physicist Assistant to join the team. This role will be full-time Monday through Friday, sign on bonus available.

Job Responsibilities:
- Performs IMRT QA as directed by the medical physicist to ensure accuracy of radiation treatment plans.
- Performs mechanical quality assurance on therapy units for monthly and annual QA.
- Performs and/or assists in the application of specific methods of dosimetry, including ion chamber, TLD, or film measurement as directed by the Medical Physicist.
- Participates in clinical activities as related to Physics/Dosimetry as required and as directed by the Physics/Dosimetry Manager.
- Participates in research opportunities as related to Physics/Dosimetry as required and as directed by the Physics/Dosimetry Manager.
- Assists Physics/Dosimetry in acquiring and transmitting patient related data to include: CT Simulation data sets, diagnostic imaging data sets, prior radiation treatment records.
