We have a teacher and she had a slate of students. Making from 1,600- 2,000 a month. Must be warm and inviting and great with little kids. Must be able to travel to our fort mill and uptown Charlotte location. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Piano Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education and a love for teaching students of all ages. This role involves developing engaging lesson plans, fostering a positive learning environment, and inspiring students to reach their musical potential. The Piano Teacher will work with both children and adults, adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum tailored to the needs of individual students.
- Conduct piano lessons for students of varying skill levels, from beginners to advanced.
- Create lesson plans that incorporate music theory, technique, and performance skills.
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively to ensure a productive learning environment.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to help students improve their musical abilities.
- Utilize behavior management strategies to maintain focus and engagement during lessons.
- Foster a love for music through creative teaching methods, including incorporating elements from other disciplines such as theater or dance when appropriate.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and areas for improvement.
- Stay current with educational trends in music instruction and participate in professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in teaching piano or music education is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in curriculum development and lesson planning tailored for various age groups.
- Experience working with children, including knowledge of early childhood education principles.
- Ability to manage a classroom effectively and engage students through innovative teaching techniques.
- Familiarity with special education practices is a plus, as well as experience in behavior management strategies.
- Background in other artistic disciplines such as ballet, theater, or dance can enhance teaching methods.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students and parents alike.
