Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Planning Specialist to join our team to help plan manufacturing workflows.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Assist with developing and managing a working ERP system
· Coordinate production workflow for multiple products in small batch sequential aerospace and medical product.
· Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum On-time Delivery percentage
· Give input on manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand
· Audit work orders for the proper machines/sequence
· Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget
· Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption
· Monitor output information (inventory levels, number of finished products, percentage of defectives etc.)
· Prepare status and performance reports
· Collaborate with Production, Quality Control, Shipping/Receiving and other staff
· Process job order travelers
· Work directly with our vendor, Shoptech, to address any issues with the ERP system that hinders a complete production schedule
· Be organized and proactive
Qualifications
· Knowledge of production planning and quality control principles in a manufacturing environment
· Experience in ERP or MRP systems
· Prior experience with Shop-tech helpful. If not then ability to learn quickly is a must.
· Strong vendor relations experience
· Strong work experience in Excel and MS Word
· Strong data entry skills and the ability to extract database information to write reports.
· Strong math and statistics skills
· Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
· Excellent communication abilities
· Strong attention to detail
· High school diploma; Further education or certification, is preferred
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
The work environment characteristics are primarily an office environment with interaction with employees in light manufacturing. The physical work environment consists of sitting, standing, twisting, turning, fingering, grasping, lifting up to 15 pounds, and working on desktop programs and files, as well as routinely walking through the building and manufacturing area several times per day.

The schedule for this position falls on a 9/80 work schedule where 80 hours are worked in 9 workweek days (instead of 10 days) in a 2 week period. The hours are 7:30am - 5:30pm, Monday through Thursday, (1 hour lunch), and every other Friday from 7:30am - 4:30pm (1 hour lunch), and off every other Friday. The lunch time can be reduced to 30 minutes and leave 30 minutes earlier.
