Our Playground Supervisor and Office Aide will help us to keep our students safe during lunches and recess, will help our students when they are not feeling well or need help resolving a conflict and will promote positive behavior of students and visitors on campus.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists in the security and supervision of students in our classrooms and playground and assures student conduct on or around campus is to our standards.
- Prepares related records including incident reports and related materials as necessary.
- Performs other various duties as assigned.
- Provides support to teachers as needed
- Helps with the planning and execution of special events as well as smaller weekly events designed to help students enjoy their time at our Center, make friends, and learn pivotal skills like conflict resolution, empathy, drawing boundaries, healthy play and respect.
- Performs related duties as assigned in an emergency.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Ability to work with students, parents and teachers in a way that supports the growth and encouragement of all children.
- Ability to implement conflict resolution strategies when needed.
- Understands and applies rules, procedures and policies.
- Communicates effectively in both oral and written form.
- Uses tact, patience and courtesy.
- Maintains regular attendance.
- Willingness to care for all children and understand that kids have good days and bad days, and need our help to have many more good days.
Schedule
Wed 9:30 - 3:30, Tues, Thurs & Fri are possibly needed as well.
We operate on a trimester schedule:
Fall: Sept 9 - Nov 21
Winter: Jan 6 - Mar 13
Spring: Mar 24 - May 22
We will only be hiring for these dates at this time.
