We are currently seeking a Pre-Litigation Assistant to join our team. This role is vital in managing cases during the critical early stages—interacting with clients, gathering documentation, and supporting attorney before litigation begins.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to incoming inquiries and conduct professional, compassionate intake interviews with prospective clients
- Gather and document essential details regarding accidents, injuries, and medical treatment
- Assess potential cases based on firm criteria and legal merit
- Accurately enter and maintain client data in the case management system
- Assist with client agreements and collecting required documentation
- Collaborate with legal teams and other pre-litigation assistants to ensure seamless case transitions
- Collect and organize initial case documents, medical records, police reports, and insurance information
- Maintain confidential case files and uphold HIPAA compliance and firm privacy policies
- Draft request letters, collect and organize, medical records, and insurance information
Qualifications
- 2 years of legal assistant or case management experience preferred (personal injury experience a plus)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Detail-oriented and able to manage a high caseload effectively
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus, but not required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new software
- High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
