General Description of the Position
The Teacher is responsible for consistently and successfully performing all essential functions of the role. This includes supporting the developmental and educational needs of the children in the program, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that fosters learning and growth.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Child Development Support: Assist in facilitating and monitoring the ongoing evaluation of each child’s progress.
- Program Support: Aid in providing direction, resources, and support to program staff in planning, implementing, and assessing the program’s curriculum.
- Curriculum Implementation: Support the implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum activities tailored to the children’s needs.
- Learning Environment Design: Help design and maintain interest areas that encourage choice, creativity, and safe exploration, challenging children to learn and grow while meeting their individual developmental needs.
- Classroom and Behavior Management: Collaborate in managing classroom environments and child behavior to create a positive learning experience.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Completion of a minimum of 12 semester units in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development (CD), including core courses in Programs/Curriculum, Child, Family, and Community, and Child/Human Growth & Development.
- For those working in infant and toddler classrooms, three semester units in infant care and development are required.
- Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Associate Teacher Permit or higher within 90 days.

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
