Position Summary:
The basic function of the Press Brake Operator is to set up and operate forming, bending and punching machines to fabricate parts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Analyze work orders, work pieces, and blueprints to determine sequences.
- Set up fixed and adjustable punching dies and gauges, adjust ram stroke.
- Set up and operate machines as required to manufacture parts.
Check parts throughout production run, using company supplied measuring equipment to monitor quality and repeatability of process.
- Verify conformance of finished work pieces to specifications and blue prints by use of appropriate measuring devices.
- Accurately fill out work order routers with correct quantity of good parts and scrap parts.
- Communicate and confer with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve any problems that may arise.
· Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

· Calculate figures and formulas that pertain to the work area.
· Self-starter, ability to work with minimal supervision
· Computer literate.
· Flexibility to work inside of a fast pace environment which may ask for quick change in product being produced.
· Work well in a team environment, demonstrate good communication skills, and maintain a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Education and/or Experience:
- Record of High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
- Six months to one year related experience and/or training or education.
- Preferred: Two year degree and/or equivalent experience.
Physical Demands Include:
· Sitting, standing, and walking.
· Use of fingers, hands and arms to handle, grip, and grasp objects, controls, parts, tools and to operate required equipment; and reach, push and pull with hands and arms.
· Frequently lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds with assistance.
· Being able to see (20/25 vision with or without glasses) and hear (with mechanical assistance if necessary) sufficient to understand and comprehend individual one-on-one conversations.
Work Environment:
This person will work in a manufacturing environment which is temperature controlled. The person will be working near moving mechanical parts. This setting involves manufacturing equipment with others working in close proximity.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
