Position: Prevention Coordinator
Responsible to: Director of Advocacy
Primary Responsibility: The Prevention Coordinator plays a pivotal role in leading KCSDV's statewide sexual violence prevention initiatives. This position collaborates with stakeholders to enhance sexual violence prevention strategies in Kansas, including supporting prevention activities at both the state and community levels using a public health approach.
Specific duties:
· Implement the prevention program strategies and activities and serve as a subject matter expert to help other KCSDV staff build their capacity on sexual violence prevention.
· Collaborate with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment to enhance the State Action Plan supporting state and community-level implementation of sexual violence prevention.
· Attending regularly scheduled meetings and training facilitated partners and technical assistance providers.
· Support work with the contracted evaluation partner for outcome evaluation of the project.
· Track and monitor progress on project activities, collect data on outcomes and achievements, and prepare regular progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
· Ensure compliance with grant requirements, including timely reporting and documentation of activities and expenditures.
· Assist in the development of reports and presentations for grant reporting and public policy initiatives.
· Stay updated on the latest domestic violence and sexual assault best practices sexual violence prevention and related fields.
· Assist with other KCSDV duties as assigned.

Employment Status: Fulltime (36 hours/wk.), nonexempt (hourly)
Salary: $55,000. We know that the practice of salary negotiation can contribute to pay inequities, this starting salary is non-negotiable. Our compensation structure—as well as our approach to future compensation adjustments—is transparent to all employees.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Preferred: Knowledge of evidence-based practices for sexual violence prevention and strong program development skills to conceptualize, implement, and evaluate prevention initiatives from the public health model effectively. Strong interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and build collaborative relationships. Experience in project management, including planning, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives. Commitment to advancing social justice, equity, and the rights of survivors of sexual and domestic violence.
Location: This position offers a collegial working environment in our offices in downtown Topeka, KS. with a hybrid in-person/remote work schedule. Remote work is set for most staff as Mondays and Fridays, with weekly office hours as 8:30am-5:00pm (Monday-Thursday) and 8:30am-12:30pm (Fridays).
