The Opportunity: The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing and optimizing production floor operations to achieve efficiency, quality, safety, and production objectives. This role supervises all Production personnel, conducting performance evaluations, delivering training, and fostering a positive work environment. The Production Supervisor coordinates daily production schedules with Shipping, Repair, and Materials teams to ensure timely delivery of Signal Hound orders. Key duties include overseeing production Work Orders, providing daily tasking to assemblers, maintaining production capabilities, ensuring inventory accuracy, conducting month-end reporting, and maintaining compliance with OSHA, SDS, and company policies. The supervisor also manages production equipment, performs light troubleshooting, and drives initiatives to achieve zero downtime and stockouts. Additional responsibilities include creating dashboards, updating Standard Operating Procedures, reporting daily activities and key performance metrics, and escalating recurring issues for resolution.
A Quick Look At What You’ll Do:
1. Team Leadership and Development
- Supervise all Production personnel, managing performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, attendance, and timecard approvals.
- Train all assemblers in Signal Hound production standard operating procedures and ensure continual development and progress of skills in line with their individualized training plan
2. Production Coordination and Scheduling
- Coordinate daily planning with Shipping, Work Order (WO), Chamber, and Materials teams
- Assign and follow up on daily tasks for production personnel, adjusting as needed.
- Oversee Work In Progress (WIP) plans to ensure focus on correct builds and quantities.
3. Work Order and Inventory Management
- Oversee creation, issuance, receipt, and corrective actions for Production Work Orders, ensuring accuracy of reports, travelers, and paperwork.
- Participate in month-end inventory activities to support accurate reporting.
4. Compliance and Safety
- Proactively enforce safety standards by conducting regular inspections, ensuring proper use of PPE, and implementing preventive measures to minimize workplace hazards.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, SDS, Company Policies, and Department SOPs.
5. Process and System Management
- Understand production steps for all Signal Hound products and be able to identify deviations
- Serve as the Quality Assurance (QA) lead to ensure all Signal Hound products meet our uncompromising quality standards
- Write and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions.
6. Communication and Reporting
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in communication, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrate ability to perform conflict resolution and change management amongst the production team
- Monitor and review daily work completed by production personnel

Who You Are: Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities
Bachelors degree in production, process or industrial engineering or five years equivalent leadership experience in manufacturing and production of electronic devices. Two years of combined Assembly and/or Technician Manufacturing experience required. Must have recent Electronic Device Assembly experience. Able to use a computer to perform data entry and device testing, by following test procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Access) required.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to manage differing personalities and conflict resolution.
