Class Summary
Job Description
The Program Leader will be responsible for assisting with general and athletic programming and daily operations at Rhodes Jordan Park Community Recreation Center, as well as providing quality customer service both internally and externally.
Essential Duties
- Interacting with user groups, associations, and other agencies
- Maintaining safe operating environments
- Completing and processing paperwork, including permit requests
- Preparing and maintaining various records and reports
- Completing Civic Plus Recreation Management entries for camps, programs, and classes
- Assisting with special events and programming
- Supporting part-time staff with continued training
- Maintaining communication with staff and management.
- Performing other duties of a similar nature or level, as assigned
Grade
- The Grade for this position is B22(1). The salary will be based on education and experience.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in Parks and Recreation, Health and Human Services, Senior Services, or a related field AND
-
One year of related experience
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
- Valid driver's license
- CPR Certification within 6 months
- First Aid Certification within 6 months
Preferred Qualifications in addition to the above minimum qualifications
- Two years of recreation support experience
- Valid Driver's license
- CPR and First Aid within the first 6 months of employment
Other Job Requirements/Information
- Must be able to work a variety of hours, weekends, daytime, evenings, and holidays
