Oak Hill Apartments, a large mixed-income community is seeking an experienced Programming Coordinator in the Hill/Oakland area of Pittsburgh.
This position focuses on enhancing the quality of life and engagement of residents in a residential community through planned activities and programs. This is a part-time position and may require flexibility in hours, including evenings and weekends
General Duties and Responsibilities:
· Program Planning and Implementation: lead the planning, advertising, coordinating, and executing activities and events for residents
· Create a monthly calendar of activities, ensuring a balanced variety of opportunities (e.g., cultural, intellectual, social, physical)
· Actively engage with residents, encouraging and influencing participation in activities through positive relationships
· Build connections with outside organization and solicit participation, donations and partnership with events on our campus (i.e. health fair, safety fair, music performances)
· Complete administrative tasks related to program activities
· Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other staff members, answering inquiries and addressing resident concerns
· Report to Director of Resident Services for daily operations
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Minimum two years full-time equivalent of program coordination, event planning, or equivalent
· Can show a track record of successful event planning in a community setting
· Possess or able to obtain background check clearances
· Ability to work and think independently
· Able to ascend/descend stairs and traverse an uneven terrain to access all areas of the properties
· Able to use a computer for a full workday
Schedule:
· Monday to Friday afternoons
· Weekends as needed
· Evenings as needed
