Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP, and will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a solid grasp of financial concepts to support our organization’s financial health.
Duties
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Conduct account reconciliations, including balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Perform journal entries, double entry bookkeeping, and maintain detailed records of all transactions.
- Collaborate with other departments to support overall financial objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
- Knowledge of accounting practices and construction accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial report writing and data analysis.
- Familiarity with technical accounting concepts including accrual accounting, tax experience, payroll processing, and auditing practices.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
