Waterfront Construction, based out of Seattle, WA – Your leading marine construction contractor in Northwest Washington. Since 1976, Waterfront Construction has specialized in constructing piers, docks, bulkheads, pile driving, and barging. Our team is committed to serving the needs of customers while preserving and enhancing natural wildlife and natural habitat.
We are currently looking to fill a full-time Project Development Coordinator position. Previous experience of at least one year in the permitting field is required.
Description:
- Act as liaison between the Project Manager, Customer, and other members of the construction team.
- Manage all aspects of Drawing, Design, and Permit processes with the supervision of the Project Manager and Permit Department Manager.
- Create, distribute, and manage permit documentation, process project costs, and invoices and assist with pay-application processes.
- Maintain project updates within the project management system.
- Track and manage permits for multiple projects concurrently.
- Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with customers, municipalities, teammates, and other entities in the permitting process.
- Attend site visits and field meetings with inspectors and members of the construction team, as necessary.
- Track all permits through their lifecycle, ensuring requirements are met to ensure timely processing to meet project deadlines through permit closure.
- Document work accurately for billing clients.
- Perform general administrative duties related to the projects.
- Must be willing to work seasonally necessary overtime as needed.
Qualifications:
- Possess at least one year of working knowledge of construction permitting requirements and processes.
- Experienced understanding of common construction terms, and processes from design to finish of the project.
- High level of professionalism and ability to communicate proficiently, both verbally and written.
- Effective communicator, highly organized, forward-thinking, goal-oriented, problem solver, and dependable.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Organized and able to maintain tracking sheets.
- Able to create professional documents as needed.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Outlook and Word.
- Attention to detail, proven customer service skills, and the ability to prioritize and be flexible with competing priorities.
- Strong organizational skills - (yes, we are stating something about being organized for the third time. It's that important.)
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Highly motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a team atmosphere to produce a completed product.
