We are looking for a Rail Infrastructure Intern. This position will be based at our Pittsburgh area branch located in Pennsylvania.

A little bit about us
Siemens Mobility provides efficient and coordinated transportation of people and goods by rail – including rolling stock, rail automation, rail electrification, and service. We craft and manufacture across the entire spectrum of rolling stock, including commuter and regional passenger trains, light rail and streetcars, metros, locomotives, passenger coaches, and high-speed trainsets. Cities and Railroads also rely on us to provide traction-power substations and electricity transmission, as well as signaling and control technology for freight and passenger rail and transit systems.
How does (department) plays into the big picture?
The Project Management Office (“PMO”), collaborates internally with Project Management, Quality, Engineering, Sales, and Finance, having two primary responsibilities: 1. Lead the North American PMO team of Project Schedulers, Requirements Managers, and Document Managers 2. Inspire Change and Project Excellence Improvement programs for the US Rail Infrastructure Passenger Organization.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Familiarize yourself with our standard processes.
- Collaborate with Project Management, Quality, Engineering, Sales, and Finance to assess current practices.
- Continue collaborating with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement measures that utilize automation or AI solutions.
- Implement the proposed solutions to streamline topics such as resource management, cost, and quality management, scheduling, and document/configuration management.
- Test and monitor the implemented solutions and assist in rolling out the solutions to the relevant groups.

Who Should Apply?
- Education / Majors: Current sophomore or junior undergraduates pursuing a BA/BS from an accredited college or university and majoring in Computer Science with strong technical or analytical aptitude
- Availability: 40 hours per week from June to Augus
- Work Authorization: Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization
- Prior internship or co-op experience (preferred) with a preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Demonstrated leadership potential
- Strong analytical, writing, presentation, and critical-thinking skills
- Industry knowledge and/or interest
