We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee mechanical contracting projects from inception through completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical contracting, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex projects within budget and on schedule. Experience with data centers is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Lead the planning, execution, and closing of mechanical contracting projects, ensuring all project objectives are met.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and financial targets are met.
- Scheduling: Create and maintain project schedules, coordinating with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely project delivery.
- Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met and building strong, long-term relationships.
- Team Coordination: Lead project teams, including field labor, subcontractors, and support staff, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all work meets the required specifications, standards, and quality requirements.
- Procurement: Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring they meet project specifications and are delivered on time.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and clients.
- Problem Solving: Address any issues that arise during the project lifecycle, implementing solutions to keep the project on track.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage project teams, with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, ) and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with AutoCAD or other design software is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of project management.
