SCS Interiors is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee new initiatives, including prototyping, custom product development, and the execution of the SF & SR XI Project. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in manufacturing, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate across departments to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in compliance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all phases of project lifecycle: initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and close
- Oversee development of new product lines, prototypes, and small-scale projects
- Manage material procurement, task assignments, and timelines
- Conduct cost analysis of estimated vs. actual project expenses
- Ensure documentation and processes comply with ISO and regulatory standards
- Track and manage work orders, drawings, and production documents
Customer & Internal Communication
- Serve as the main point of contact for customer-driven custom and prototype requests
- Coordinate closely with customers to review expectations, provide updates, and resolve issues
- Communicate project timelines and capacity with the Director of Production and internal teams
- Lead cross-departmental meetings and status reviews
SF & SR XI Project
- Act as subject matter expert for all aspects of the XI Project
- Facilitate meetings and align priorities across departments
- Maintain project documentation and ensure seamless communication
Project Handoff & Support
- Transition ongoing production details to the sales and production teams once the project stabilizes
- Provide key information (pricing, lead times, part numbers, etc.) for internal continuity
- Remain available for follow-up or repeat requests
Process Development
- Create and update procedures, work instructions, and documentation
- Ensure documentation is organized and maintained in OTU files
- Actively participate in safety, quality, and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- PMP certification is a plus but not required
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or product development environment required
- 5+ years of related project management experience may substitute for formal education
- Experience in engineering, product development, or CAD preferred
- Familiarity with sewing, upholstery, or general aviation a bonus
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read technical drawings and production documents
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Google Workspace
- Understanding of project management software and documentation best practices
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
- Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt to shifting priorities
Work Environment & Requirements:
- Regular, on-site attendance required in Duluth, MN
- Ability to sit, stand, and move between office and production floor as needed
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English
- Ability to use common office tools and equipment
