Project Manager - Commercial Glass & Glazing
Glass Projects Resource is actively seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team in Sterling, VA. This is a full-time, onsite role offering long-term stability, competitive compensation, and the opportunity to work on technically challenging and architecturally significant commercial projects.
GPR is a commercial glass and glazing subcontractor performing design, engineering, fabrication, factory glazing, and field installation of high-quality custom façade systems, primarily serving The Washington D.C. Metropolitan area. Our main office is in Sterling, VA, with a full scale manufacturing facility in Berryville, VA. GPR’s project portfolio covers a wide spectrum of glazing applications for both exterior and interior projects. Project scopes include both unitized and stick-built curtain wall enclosures, storefront and window wall systems, blast rated window and curtain wall systems, structural glass walls, historic renovations, tenant fit-outs, and special structures such as train enclosures, glass bridges, exterior rain screens, and breezeways.

Monday-Friday (8:00am-5:00pm (flexible))

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute glazing projects from submittal stage through closeout
- Review assigned projects to verify accuracy of scope of new work
- Consistently and professionally communicate with general contractors, architects, vendors, and owners to ensure proper execution of projects
- Review working shop drawings and coordinate with drafting and engineering
- Develop and submit RFIs, change orders, and modifications to general contractor
- Perform material take offs and oversee procurement of project specific glazing materials
- Communicate project schedule and delivery schedules with Fabrication Shop Manager for production
- Conduct site visits as needed and communicate with Field Superintendent and Foremen to ensure project installation milestones are met
- Maintain job folders on the server. Items include, but not limited to: Project Budget, Purchase Orders, Change Orders, RFI’s and Billings
- Ensure projects are executed within budget. Coordinate with the accounting department on projects’ monthly billings
- Ensure contract compliance
Qualifications:
- Experienced in Storefront, Curtainwall and Interior Glazing Systems
- Direct experience with unitized curtain wall systems is preferred
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong understanding of façade systems, fabrication workflows, and field installation
- Proficient in reading construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Familiarity with construction project management tools and platforms
- AutoCad experience preferred
Compensation & Benefits:
Base Salary: $80,000 – $125,000 (commensurate with experience)
